Our training and advice is designed to enable care-giving staff to make informed decisions about when and why and how they should - or should not - use physical force in a care setting. Informed staff will be better able to use their knowledge, judgement and skill to ensure they are acting appropriately and legally to safeguard themselves and their service users in exceptional circumstances.
